Is A Thousand Trails Membership Right For You?

Do you like to camp?

If you have been looking into hitting the road full time or just looking to get some camping in this year, this just might be what you need.  When we decided to take our ministry on the road, my biggest concern was how we would afford the campground fees.  Today I want to let you know what Thousand Trails is and how the membership works and how this is by far the best way to camp for less.

What is Thousand Trails?

Thousand Trails is a membership composed of over 80 campgrounds in the U.S. that allows you as a member to stay for just the cost of your membership fee.  There are many different memberships to choose from starting with the Zone Pass, which is where I recommend if you are just starting out.  You can upgrade or cancel your membership at any time.  The 81 campgrounds are divided among 5 camping zones: Northwest, Southwest, Midwest, Northeast and Southeast.

How it works

You choose a Zone Pass for the area you want to camp.  When you choose a Zone Pass, you get access to all the campgrounds in that area.  These are not just any campgrounds.  Thousand Trails has many things to offer!  Giving you all the amenities that will make you want to camp more.  Each campground is different, but many amenities include swimming, lounge areas, several games, and beautiful clubhouses.  Most of the campgrounds that we have been to have been located on a beautiful lake.

Camp for less

Pick one of the 5 Zones and camp for less than $5 per day.  Memberships can be paid with a monthly payment and you can add extras to your membership or upgrade if you find that you need more.
